God Wins

I can’t imagine being in Moses’ shoes as leader of the people of Israel. One moment you are witnessing one of the grandest acts of God as the Red Sea is parted and Israel is freed from Egypt, and the next, the very same people are wishing they were back where they started! But on the other hand, can you blame them? I wouldn’t want to be wandering around in the wilderness for 40 years looking for water every day either!

The point is this, even when we face our biggest challenges in life, we know what God has done for us. He has won. Period. God made a promise to Israel that He would lead them to the promised land. They, even in difficult times, have no need to test or doubt Him, that He would go back on His word. That is not who our God is. Instead, through our most difficult moments, He takes us by the hand and leads us through them, providing for us, and pointing us to Jesus the whole way

Prayer:
Dear God, we celebrate your wonderful works day in and day out. We know that you work for our good even in the midst of the challenges that we face. Continue to guide us, lead us, and direct us to follow your ways, looking to Jesus without ceasing. In His precious name, Amen.
